This statement applies to the website of Hotel NordRaum. We endeavour to make it usable for all guests — including people who rely on keyboard operation, magnification or a screen reader.
State of implementation
We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in version 2.1, Level AA. Among other things, the following have been implemented: consistent operability with the keyboard, visible focus indicators, text alternatives for meaningful images, a sensible heading structure, labels on all form fields as well as contrasts that meet the required values. The map on the contact page only loads on an explicit click; the directions are additionally described in running text.
Known limitations
The booking journey is provided by an external supplier. We have only indirect influence on its design; we are in contact with the supplier about this. The video in the header of the home page runs without sound, is purely decorative and can be paused; if the setting "reduce motion" is active, a still image is shown instead. The photographs in the room galleries currently carry only a counting description ("photo 2") rather than a descriptive one; we are working on this. Individual older blog posts may contain images without a detailed description. A version in plain language or in sign language is not available at present.

If you cannot or do not wish to complete a booking yourself, simply give us a call. We will take your reservation by telephone and advise you on the rooms that suit your needs. Barrier-free rooms are available on request.
